Should a Flooded Car Be Repaired or Scrapped?

Water-damaged cars can be repaired. If taken to a professional repair shop, the vehicle can be restored to a drivable condition, though it will never match the performance of its original state. There are generally three levels of water damage classification for flooded cars: 1. Water-immersed cars: When the water level exceeds the chassis, it is classified as a water-immersed car. 2. Partially submerged cars: If the water level surpasses the oil dipstick, it can be termed as a partially submerged car. 3. Fully submerged cars: When the water level rises above the engine hood or dashboard, it is considered a fully submerged car. Such vehicles may be better off scrapped, as the success rate of timely repairs is quite low.
