Severe Jerking in First Gear with Volkswagen DSG?

Volkswagen's DSG dual-clutch transmission has inherent advantages in terms of physical structure, including compact size, simple design, and relatively low cost. In practical use, it offers benefits such as high transmission efficiency (resulting in stronger power and lower fuel consumption when paired with the same engine) and fast gear shifting (particularly noticeable during continuous upshifts). However, it also has three inherent drawbacks: vibration, jerking, and overheating. These issues can only be mitigated—not completely eliminated—through software calibration that matches the engine, aiming to reduce their frequency and intensity. One solution to overheating is the use of a wet-clutch structure, which employs an oil-cooling mechanism to prevent overheating caused by frequent partial engagement and slipping of the transmission in stop-and-go traffic conditions.
