Prepare all the tools needed for the entire process of disassembling the rearview mirror motor: a flat-head screwdriver and a T-15 Torx screwdriver. Use the flat-head screwdriver to remove the door trim panel, then unscrew the bolts securing the rearview mirror and disconnect the wiring harness of the rearview mirror. First, remove the rearview mirror glass. Take out the T-15 Torx screwdriver and unscrew the bolts securing the rearview mirror motor. Keep the removed bolts safely. Use the flat-head screwdriver to pry open the clips along the edge of the rearview mirror motor. Start by prying one spot, then move to the others until all clips on the rearview mirror motor are released. Locate the wiring harness that controls the movement of the rearview mirror motor, then manually remove the connector of this wiring harness.

Why doesn't BMW use THP engines?

Reasons why BMW doesn't use THP engines: THP engine underwent a name change: The THP engine was a product jointly developed by BMW and PSA Peugeot Citroën starting in 2002. The final prototype was called the Prince engine. Although it was a co-developed product, BMW's Prince series engines were named the N13 series and were produced in Birmingham, UK. Therefore, BMW didn't abandon the THP engine but simply changed its name. What is the original engine oil model for the 14th-generation Sylphy?

14th-generation Sylphy's original engine oil model is 5W-30 semi-synthetic oil. Oil grading: Oil grading consists of two parts: classification and viscosity specification. The oil grade usually indicates viscosity and quality. Specific interpretation is as follows: The viscosity of lubricating oil is mostly identified using SAE grades, where SAE is the abbreviation for "Society of Automotive Engineers" in English. Oil selection: During the break-in period, oil with a viscosity grade of 15W/40 or 40 is generally selected for running-in. When selecting engine oil, you must know the temperature environment in which the vehicle is used, and then purchase oil according to the oil grade and viscosity requirements specified in the vehicle manual. When purchasing oil, carefully check the grade and viscosity markings on the outer packaging of the oil product, and choose oil that meets the minimum grade and above requirements.

What are the causes of water ingress in the Bora's floor?

There are several reasons for water ingress in the car floor as follows: Corrosion perforation of the chassis: If the car's chassis is corroded and perforated, water splashed by the wheels can enter. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully inspect and seal the perforations or install a lining plate. Clogged drainage channel: When the rainwater holes in the drainage channel below the front window are clogged with debris, it can also cause water ingress in the Bora's floor. First, open the engine hood to check if the drainage channel is clogged. If it is, clean and unclog it. Damaged door seals: If the door seals are damaged or ineffective, rainwater can enter the car floor during rainy weather. Check the door seals for any damage or ineffectiveness and replace them promptly if necessary.

What Causes Sudden Idle Speed Increase That Returns to Normal After Restarting?

The reasons for a sudden increase in idle speed that returns to normal after restarting are: 1. Idle switch not closing; 2. Faulty idle control valve; 3. Intake manifold air leak; 4. Incorrect valve timing; 5. Fuel injector dripping or clogging; 6. Exhaust system blockage; 7. EGR valve opening during idle conditions. Solutions for idle speed increase: 1. Adjust or replace the throttle position sensor; 2. Clean or replace the idle control valve and perform basic idle speed setting with a decoder; 3. Locate the leak, reseal or replace related components; 4. Check timing marks and readjust valve timing according to standards; 5. Clean and inspect each fuel injector's spray volume to confirm any clogging or leakage; 6. Replace the three-way catalytic converter; 7. Remove carbon deposits from the EGR valve or replace the EGR valve.

What is the ground clearance of the 2022 Civic?

2022 Civic has a ground clearance of 110mm. Taking the Civic 2022 180TURBO CVT Shangdong version as an example, it is a compact car under Dongfeng Honda. Ordinary family cars: For ordinary family cars, as long as there are no high slopes, deep pits, or obstacles on the road, the ground clearance is generally not required to be too large, as long as it ensures the comfort and stability of the vehicle. The minimum ground clearance is usually between 110-150mm. SUV: SUVs do not strongly pursue high speed but rather focus on off-road capability and comfort, so SUVs have a higher ground clearance, typically between 200-250mm. Since urban roads are relatively flat, the ground clearance of urban SUVs is less than 200mm.

What is the actual fuel consumption of the Malibu?

The average fuel consumption of the Malibu is 10.1 liters per 100 kilometers. The Chevrolet Malibu has dimensions of 4855x1854x1476mm, a body weight of 1520kg, a wheelbase of 2737mm, a luggage compartment volume of 544L, and a fuel tank capacity of 70L. Carbon deposit issue: Many car owners might first think of carbon deposits when they notice an increase in fuel consumption. Carbon deposits are like grease on a range hood—difficult to clean. They can affect the compression ratio, leading to poor ignition, leaner air-fuel mixture, and fuel adsorption, all of which contribute to higher fuel consumption. Air filter: The air filter can also impact a car's fuel consumption. When the air filter is not replaced for a long time, clogging can reduce the engine's air intake, which in turn increases fuel consumption.
