Reasons for Abnormal Noise When Starting the X-Trail?

Reasons for abnormal noise when starting the X-Trail are as follows: 1. Hydraulic lifter issue. Due to low oil pressure or wear in the hydraulic lifter itself, air enters the hydraulic lifter, causing abnormal noise. 2. Throttle body problem. Excessive dirt in the throttle body caused by the accumulation of sludge and carbon deposits. 3. Valve clearance issue. Wear in the valve rocker arm leads to excessive valve clearance. 4. Cold start abnormal noise. If there is abnormal noise within half a minute after a cold start, which then disappears, it is usually due to the sound of the three-way catalytic converter expanding as it heats up, or wear, elongation, or loosening of the timing belt or chain. Additionally, a faulty chain tensioner losing its tensioning function can also cause abnormal noise.
