Reasons for Abnormal Noise During Car Ignition Without Starting
1 Answers
If the car makes a clicking sound but fails to start, it may be due to insufficient voltage in the car battery. When the battery power is inadequate, it cannot drive the engine to reach the starting speed. The clicking sound during ignition is caused by the repeated engagement between the magnetic pack and the relay. Below are precautions regarding battery usage: 1. Avoid parking the car in an open parking lot for extended periods. If long-term parking is necessary, remove the battery to prevent freezing damage. 2. In winter, car engines are harder to start. Each attempt to start the engine should not exceed 5 seconds, with a minimum interval of 15 seconds between attempts. 3. The car battery should be charged regularly. A battery left unused for a long time will gradually discharge on its own until it becomes unusable. Therefore, the car should be started periodically to charge the battery. 4. Clean the battery terminals periodically and apply specialized grease to protect the wiring harness. Regularly inspect the battery accessories and connecting circuits. 5. Avoid using car electrical appliances after the engine is turned off. Using the battery alone when the engine is not generating electricity can cause damage to it.
