Left Turn or Right Turn Priority?

At intersections, vehicles turning left from opposite directions have the right of way, and right-turning vehicles must yield to oncoming left-turning vehicles. This is because left turns are time-limited by traffic signals, and failure to proceed promptly may lead to delays and block straight-through lanes. Right turns, however, are not time-restricted and can be made at any time, requiring extra caution. Right Lane Vehicle Priority: First scenario: If a vehicle in the right lane is going straight, and a vehicle in the current lane is going straight or turning, the right lane vehicle has the right of way. Second scenario: If both the right lane vehicle and the current lane vehicle are turning, the current lane vehicle must yield to the right lane vehicle. This applies to the previously mentioned intersection. Driver A Yielding: If Driver A is traveling south to north on Zhongshan Street and prepares to turn (either left or right) at the intersection, but notices a vehicle approaching from Chengbei Road on the right also intending to turn (either left or right), Driver A must slow down and yield. Current Lane Vehicle Priority: The third scenario occurs when a right lane vehicle is turning while the current lane vehicle is going straight—here, the right lane vehicle must yield to the current lane vehicle. This is the only situation where a right lane vehicle must give way to the current lane vehicle at an intersection.
