Lavida Hatch caters to different needs of Chinese consumers by offering various exquisite wheel options ranging from 15-inch to 16-inch sizes. These wheels combine crisp dynamism with muscular rigidity, exuding a powerful impact while maintaining an understated elegance. Wheel size essentially refers to the diameter of the wheel, commonly expressed as 15-inch or 16-inch wheels where the numbers indicate the wheel's diameter (size). Generally in passenger cars, larger wheel sizes paired with higher tire aspect ratios can create excellent visual tension effects and improve vehicle handling stability. However, this configuration comes with the trade-off of increased fuel consumption.

I previously researched the wheel data of the Lavida hatchback. The factory configuration mainly includes two sizes: 16-inch and 17-inch. The base automatic Trendline version comes with 16-inch wheels, specifically 6J×16 ET38, fitted with 205/55 R16 tires. The mid-to-high-end Comfortline and Highline versions upgrade to 17-inch wheels, with specifications of 7J×17 ET45, paired with 225/45 R17 tires. When modifying wheels, pay attention to the bolt pattern of 5×112 and the center bore of 57.1mm. I've seen fellow car enthusiasts upgrade to 18-inch wheels, using 7.5J ET42 with 225/40 R18 tires, which offers a great visual effect but sacrifices some comfort. Upgrading to larger wheels requires adjusting the suspension height; otherwise, it may easily rub against the wheel arches. Oh, and don’t forget to replace the spare tire accordingly—don’t keep the original narrow spare tire, or it might be unusable in an emergency.

As a veteran Lavida owner, let me be honest: the standard version comes with 16-inch wheels from the factory, while the high-end version gets 17-inch ones. Many people don't realize that wheel size parameters are stamped on the inner side - mine shows 7J×17 ET45, where 7J means 7 inches wide and ET45 is the offset value. Wheel upgrades require caution, with maximum support up to 18 inches, and you'll need a wheel alignment afterward. Once when I replaced wheels of the same size, they rubbed against the brake calipers due to just a 3mm difference in ET value, which I later fixed by adding 5mm spacers. I recommend using 225-width tires for better grip and durability.

The original Lavida hatchback wheels come in 16 and 17-inch sizes. When upgrading wheels, pay attention to these parameters: the bolt pattern must be 5×112, and the center bore diameter is 57.1mm. For 16-inch wheels, 205/55 R16 tires are the most stable choice, while 225/45 R17 tires with appropriate sidewall thickness are ideal for 17-inch wheels. If upgrading to 18-inch wheels, an ET value around 40 is recommended, paired with 225/40 R18 tires. Note that larger wheels result in thinner sidewalls, so drive slower over speed bumps. The spare tire compartment can't accommodate a full-size spare, so you'll need to purchase a collapsible spare tire bracket.
