Is XPeng Motors a subsidiary of Haima?

XPeng Motors is not a subsidiary of Haima. XPeng Motors has become an independent automotive brand. Take the XPeng P7 as an example. Overview: The XPeng P7 is positioned as a mid-size pure electric coupe. It has a wheelbase of 2998mm. The vehicle dimensions are 4880/1896/1450mm. The range is 552-706km. Others: The XPeng P7 will offer three versions: rear-wheel drive long range, rear-wheel drive ultra-long range, and all-wheel drive high performance. The rear-wheel drive ultra-long range version is equipped with a motor with a maximum power of 196kW (267Ps) and a range of over 650km. The all-wheel drive high-performance version has a system maximum power of 316kW (430Ps) and a range of over 550km.
The relationship between XPeng and Haima can indeed be misleading. I remember when XPeng launched its first model, the G3, in 2017, it was produced under contract by Haima's Zhengzhou factory. Back then, the production line was full of Haima logos, so many people mistakenly thought the two companies were one. But in reality, XPeng became independent very early. Their Zhaoqing factory has been operational for several years now, and the third factory built in Guangdong last year can reach a production capacity of 150,000 units, completely moving away from the contract manufacturing model. If you look at the company's equity structure, it's even clearer—XPeng was founded by He Xiaopeng as early as 2014 and has a completely different ownership from Haima, which focuses on traditional vehicles.
