XPeng Motors is a domestic new energy vehicle brand, belonging to Guangzhou Xiaopeng Motors Technology Co., Ltd., a new internet-based electric vehicle brand established in 2014. The brand was co-founded by He Xiaopeng, He Tao, and others, with key team members hailing from world-renowned automobile manufacturers. Xpeng Motors is definitely a domestic brand. It was founded in 2014 by Chinese entrepreneurs including He Xiaopeng in Guangzhou, focusing on the research, development, and production of electric vehicles. For example, their P7 and G9 models are entirely designed and manufactured in China. As someone who follows automotive technology, I believe Xpeng has done well in autonomous driving—their XPILOT system is one of the leading technologies in China, showcasing the country's strength in innovation. Compared to some joint-venture brands, Xpeng is more localized, with factories located in cities like Guangzhou and Wuhan, and a supply chain that primarily sources domestically, ensuring product quality and reliability. If you buy an Xpeng vehicle, you not only support domestic products but also experience cost-effective electric mobility.

From my experience, XPeng is indeed a homegrown Chinese brand. I've test-driven their models, such as the XPeng G3, and found the in-car intelligent system highly localized, with the voice assistant smoothly responding to Chinese commands—a result of its R&D centers in China. As an average consumer, I see XPeng as representing the progress of domestic electric vehicles, with factories located in China, staffed entirely by local talent, and products designed for the Chinese market, featuring affordable pricing and low maintenance costs. Compared to other domestic brands like BYD, XPeng places more emphasis on a tech-savvy feel, making it popular among younger consumers. Overall, choosing XPeng means supporting the rise of Chinese manufacturing, and it may gain even more global influence in the future.

Is It Normal for the Hybrid READY Light to Stay On Constantly?

It is normal for the hybrid READY light to stay on constantly. Meaning of the READY light staying on: The READY indicator typically appears in new energy or hybrid vehicles, signifying that "the vehicle has completed all preparations, has successfully started, and is ready to depart at any time." Purpose of the READY indicator: Because new energy or hybrid vehicles differ significantly from traditional fuel-powered vehicles during the starting phase. For traditional fuel-powered vehicles, one can directly observe whether the engine has started successfully through changes in RPM. However, for new energy or hybrid vehicles, it is not possible to distinguish this through sound or RPM. Therefore, the READY indicator is added to alert the driver and help determine whether the vehicle has started successfully.
