Is Vehicle Tinting Illegal?

Automotive window tinting is not illegal, but there are requirements for the refractive index of the front windshield. Tinting can block ultraviolet rays, reduce heat, and prevent injuries caused by sudden glass shattering. According to the newly revised national standard "Safety Technical Conditions for Motor Vehicle Operation," there are two situations where the application of sunshade films is considered non-compliant: Reflection and Refraction Ratio: Applying mirror-like reflective sunshade films. The visible light transmittance does not meet the requirements. Applying colored films and heat-insulating films: The new national standard stipulates that for highway buses, tourist buses, and school buses, no opaque or mirror-like reflective colored films or heat-insulating films are allowed on any window glass.
