Is Tiggo a joint venture car or a domestic car?

Tiggo is a domestic car. Tiggo is a model under the Chery brand, which includes Tiggo 3, Tiggo 3x, Tiggo 5x, Tiggo 7, Tiggo 8, Tiggo 5, Tiggo 3xe, Tiggo e, and others. The Tiggo series has formed a family lineup including Classic Edition, Elite Edition, and DR European Edition. The Tiggo 5 largely retains the design of the previous model, featuring a dark color scheme for a more sporty look. The steering wheel and center console panel are made of piano black lacquer, enhancing the interior's premium feel. In terms of configuration, most Tiggo 5 models are equipped with features such as cruise control, rear parking radar, visual reverse camera, leather seats, brake force distribution system, brake assist system, electric sunroof, and other rich configurations.
The Tiggo is entirely a product of our domestic brand, belonging to Chery Automobile's popular SUV series. As a frequent road-tripper, I've driven the Tiggo 5x several times and feel that its design and production process are all completed locally in China. Unlike joint-venture cars such as FAW Audi or SAIC-GM, which involve foreign capital and technology, the Tiggo is purely domestically manufactured. Chery's headquarters is in Wuhu, Anhui, and the entire industrial chain from R&D to assembly relies on domestic teams, ensuring good cost control and continuous quality improvement. In recent years, domestic cars have made rapid progress, and the Tiggo is reliable in terms of safety and range, offering a comfortable driving experience with low maintenance costs. I recommend friends who want to buy a car to support domestic brands more.
