Differences between thinner and thicker motor oil: 1. Under the condition of ensuring lubrication, the thinner the viscosity, the better the fluidity and the smaller the resistance. 2. The thicker the viscosity, the worse the fluidity and the greater the resistance, but it is relatively more stable. 3. Generally speaking, due to the extensive use of turbocharged engines in German cars and technical structural reasons, higher oil viscosity is required. Japanese car engines have different design concepts and recommend low-viscosity, high-fluidity oil. 4. Thicker oil is better for summer as it offers better protection; thinner oil is easier to start in winter.
