Each successful appointment for the motor vehicle driver's license application comes with a second chance for the exam. Below is the relevant information: Active Application: If the first exam attempt is unsuccessful, the applicant can immediately retake it once. According to Article 37 of the "Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driver's Licenses," each subject exam can be taken once, and if failed, it can be retaken once. Rescheduling: If the applicant does not participate in the retake or fails the retake, the current exam session ends, and the applicant must reschedule the exam. However, for Subject 2 and Subject 3 exams, rescheduling must be done at least ten days later. If the Subject 3 safety and civilized driving knowledge exam is failed, the previously passed road driving skills exam results remain valid. Within the validity period of the driving skills test permit, the number of rescheduled exams for Subject 2 and Subject 3 road driving skills exams must not exceed five times. If the fifth rescheduled exam is still unsuccessful, the results of other previously passed subjects will be invalidated.
