Highways: All vehicles, fine of 500 yuan, 2 points deducted; Expressways: Key vehicles, fine of 500 yuan, 2 points deducted; Main roads: Key vehicles, fine of 200 yuan; Other roads: All vehicles checked, front seat passengers not wearing seat belts fined 200 yuan, rear seat passengers not wearing seat belts warned/fined 200 yuan. All vehicles on all roads may be inspected by traffic police or electronic surveillance. For not wearing seat belts in the back seat of a car, the following penalties apply: 1. The traffic police department requires all passengers in all vehicles to wear seat belts as required. If violated, the driver will be fined 500 yuan and have 2 points deducted; passengers not wearing seat belts as required will result in a 500 yuan fine for the driver, with no points deducted; 2. On main roads, traffic police will strictly inspect key vehicles such as school buses, commercial passenger vehicles, freight vehicles, taxis, and ride-hailing vehicles. On other roads, traffic police will adopt a combination of inspection and warning; 3. On urban main roads, drivers and passengers in key vehicles not wearing seat belts will result in a 200 yuan fine for the driver. On other roads, front seat passengers not wearing seat belts will be fined 200 yuan, while rear seat passengers not wearing seat belts will face a warning or a 200 yuan fine.
