There is no fee for the first retake, but a fee is required for the second retake. You can reschedule the Subject 1 test 10 days after failing. There is no limit to the number of times you can reschedule the Subject 1 test. For Subjects 2, 3, and 4, if you fail, you can reschedule the retake on the 10th natural day after the failure. Below is relevant information: The Subject 1 test covers road traffic rules, traffic signals, handling of traffic safety violations and accidents, regulations on applying for and using a motor vehicle driver's license, motor vehicle registration, and other road traffic safety laws, regulations, and rules. Each subject test can be taken once, and if you fail, you are allowed one retake. If you do not take the retake or fail the retake, the current test session ends, and you must reschedule the test. However, for Subjects 2 and 3, the rescheduling must be done at least 10 days later.
Rescheduling for Subject 1 requires a fee, which I personally experienced during my driver's license test. When I missed my first appointment, I had to reschedule and ended up paying a 50-yuan service fee. As far as I know, the fees vary by region, typically ranging from 50 to 100 yuan, due to the administrative costs of the driving test centers. It's advisable not to cancel appointments casually to avoid wasting money; check the rules on the official driving school app in advance and prepare your ID card and time. Back then, I didn’t prepare well for the theory test, and retaking it cost both money and time. It’s more cost-effective to study properly to avoid unnecessary hassle.
