Is the Wuling Hongguang heater valve switch turned or vertical?

In front of the engine cover, open the position of the two heater water pipes to see it. Adjust the switch to access the heater valve. If the Wuling Hongguang needs warm air from the air conditioning, turn the left knob to the red area on the right, adjust the right knob to control the airflow according to needs, and the middle knob can adjust the airflow direction as required. Introduction to car heater: Generally, the car heater utilizes the residual heat from the engine. The heater is the most basic and effective heating facility in a car. It uses the engine's circulating cooling system to generate heat, which is then transferred into the cabin via a blower. This is a form of heat reuse, so the heater consumes much less power than the air conditioner, resulting in very low fuel consumption. Symptoms of a faulty heater valve: After increasing the temperature, the air from the vents remains not warm. Unable to turn off the heater, even after lowering the temperature, hot air still comes out of the vents. In automatic air conditioning mode, the car's interior temperature fails to reach a stable level.
I've been driving the Wuling Hongguang for several years, and the heater valve switch indeed uses a rotary knob design instead of vertical push/pull operation. While driving, you can simply twist it to adjust temperature—very ergonomic. During cold winter starts, I first let the engine run for a few minutes before turning the knob to activate the heater. The cabin warms up quickly, preventing windshield fogging hazards. During routine maintenance, I always check if the cabin air filter is clogged to maintain heating efficiency. Overall, this vehicle's practical design offers low-cost durability, providing peace of mind and savings for average owners. If the switch malfunctions, it's usually due to contact point oxidation—just have a mechanic clean it. Remember to operate gently without excessive force to prolong its lifespan.
