Volkswagen Sharan offers both six-seat and seven-seat models. The Sharan is an MPV launched under the Volkswagen brand and is primarily introduced to the Chinese automotive market through imports. The front face of the Sharan adopts Volkswagen's family-style design, featuring a horizontal grille. The lines on both sides of the engine hood give the front a sense of strength. In terms of body dimensions, the Volkswagen Sharan measures 4854mm in length, 1904mm in width, and 1720mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2920mm. The Volkswagen Sharan is a versatile vehicle and has long been a popular model in Germany. It first entered the Chinese market in 2002 as Volkswagen's first imported car introduced to China.

The Volkswagen Sharan is indeed a seven-seater. As an MPV model, based on my years of driving experience, its second row features three independent seats that can slide back and forth, while the third row has two seats, making it perfectly capable of seating seven people. The space utilization is very flexible—folding down the third row allows for large luggage, making it ideal for family gatherings or outings with friends. The Sharan also boasts practical storage compartments, such as cup holders and door-side pockets. On the road, it offers a stable chassis, and the 1.4T engine is sufficient for daily use, with urban fuel consumption around 9L/100km, which isn’t too fuel-intensive. The only thing to note is that with a body length of nearly 5 meters, it’s safer to find a larger parking spot. Overall, as a seven-seater, the Sharan delivers reliable performance in terms of safety and comfort.

The Volkswagen Sharan is a seven-seater, which our family uses to take the kids to school and for weekend trips. The second row has three seats, which are spacious even for adults, and the two seats in the third row can be easily folded down to increase trunk space. I've driven it on several long trips, and even with all seven seats occupied, it doesn't feel cramped. The air conditioning is particularly strong, keeping the car cool in the summer. Compared to other MPVs, the Sharan handles turns quite flexibly, and the noise control is also good. The downside is that the acceleration isn't particularly fast, but for a family car, smoothness is what matters. In terms of maintenance, Volkswagen's after-sales service is convenient, parts are readily available, and there are basically no major issues. As a seven-seater family car, I highly recommend it.

The Sharan features a seven-seat design with a rational space layout. The second row has adjustable sliding rails, providing comfortable seating for three without crowding; the third row offers two seats, and when folded down, the trunk can easily accommodate two large suitcases. I test-drove it, and the 1.8T version delivers ample power, paired with a smooth DSG transmission. The driving experience offers a wide field of vision, making it suitable for both city and highway driving. As an MPV, it boasts strong versatility.

The Volkswagen Sharan is definitely a seven-seater, and I often drive it for road trips. The second-row independent seats are suitable for long journeys, while the third row offers easy access. Folding down the seats allows for ample space to store camping gear. The fuel consumption is about 7 liters per 100 kilometers on the highway, which is quite economical. The vehicle height is just right, making getting in and out easy, and the interior materials are durable. Compared to SUVs, it's more fuel-efficient, and as a seven-seater, it doesn't waste space.

Why does a sedan experience insufficient power when the air conditioning is on?

It is normal for a car to experience insufficient power after turning on the air conditioning, and this phenomenon becomes more noticeable with older vehicles. This happens because the car's air conditioning is powered by the engine, and the air conditioning compressor draws its power from the engine. As a result, some power is consumed during the operation of the air conditioning, leading to a sensation of sluggish acceleration and insufficient power. The power consumption of a car's air conditioning compressor is around 25 kW. Nowadays, mainstream naturally aspirated engines can achieve a maximum power output of over 80 kW. However, a car's engine may only reach its maximum power output at around 5,000 RPM, which means that at lower engine speeds, the power output might only be around 20 to 30 kW. In this scenario, the air conditioning consumes about 20% of the engine's power, which is a significant proportion and can create substantial resistance for the engine.

Which signal light to use when merging from a slip road to a main road?

When merging from a slip road to a main road, the left turn signal should be used. It is important to note that turn signals must always be used when entering a main road from a slip road. Using turn signals communicates your driving intentions to vehicles behind you and helps prevent accidents. When merging from a slip road into a main road, not only should you use your car's turn signals, but you should also carefully observe the traffic conditions behind you on the main road. Only when you are certain there are no vehicles on the main road should you slowly merge into the main lane. Generally speaking, while driving, you should check your mirrors, but be aware that mirrors have blind spots. If you cannot be sure whether there are vehicles in the blind spot, you can check the interior rearview mirror or turn your head to look directly to ensure safety when changing lanes.

Should You Turn Off the Engine or Shift to Park First in an Automatic Transmission Car?

In an automatic transmission car, you should shift to Park (P) first before turning off the engine. Nowadays, more and more car models are designed so that you cannot turn off the engine without shifting to P gear. The P gear has an additional locking gear compared to Neutral (N). When the car is in N gear (neutral), it can move if subjected to external force. However, when shifted to P gear, the locking gear secures the output shaft gear of the transmission, preventing the car from moving even under external force, thus effectively keeping the vehicle stationary. Shifting to P gear before turning off the engine is a safety measure. Before shifting to P gear, always engage the handbrake first, as only the handbrake can truly prevent the car from moving. In the event of external force, engage the handbrake first to bear the force, then shift to P gear to let the P gear take the load.

What Causes the Noise When Turning the Steering Wheel Left and Right?

Reasons for noise when turning the steering wheel left and right: 1. Sound from the turn signal reset: If the turn signal is activated while turning, the noise may come from the rebound clip of the turn signal's automatic reset mechanism. 2. Friction between plastic parts: The steering wheel is typically made of plastic components. In colder temperatures, plastic hardens and may produce friction sounds. 3. Abnormal noise from the steering wheel: If the noise originates inside the steering wheel, it is likely caused by the clock spring (spiral cable) of the airbag. Replacing the clock spring can resolve this issue. 4. Aging of the tie rod end ball joint: If the tie rod end ball joint is worn out, it can cause the steering wheel to vibrate and produce noise. In such cases, replacing the tie rod end ball joint and performing a wheel alignment afterward is usually necessary.

What is the function of the car ION button?

ION refers to the air purification function. When ION is activated, the air purifier starts working. Below are the relevant details: 1. Function: When this function is enabled, the negative ion generator produces and releases a large number of negative ions. Since dust, particles, and harmful substances like formaldehyde in the air can easily adhere to these negative ions, they form larger particles and settle down, ultimately being filtered by the air filter to achieve the effect of purifying the air inside the car. Simply put, this function transforms tiny particles that cannot be filtered by the air filter into larger particles that can be filtered, through adhesion to negative ions, thereby achieving purification. 2. Vehicle Models: The air negative ion purification function is generally equipped in high-end models, and vehicles without this function naturally do not have an ION button. For vehicles equipped with the air negative ion purification function but without a physical ION button, it is usually integrated into the central control screen. After opening the air conditioning interface on the screen, the ION touch button can be clearly seen.

What is a Trailer Tractor?

Trailer tractor refers to a general large truck or semi-trailer where the tractor and the trailer are connected by a towing device. This means the tractor can detach from its original trailer and tow other trailers, while the trailer can also detach from its original tractor and be towed by other tractors. Below are the relevant introductions: 1. Trailer: A trailer is a vehicle that is towed by a motor vehicle but does not have its own power drive device. It consists of a combination of one motor vehicle (such as a truck, tractor, or forklift) and one or more trailers. The truck or tractor serves as the driving section of the vehicle train, known as the main vehicle. The towed section pulled by the main vehicle is called the trailer, which is an important vehicle type in road transportation. Using vehicle trains for transportation is one of the most effective and simple means to improve economic efficiency. 2. Function: Trailers offer advantages such as speed, mobility, flexibility, and safety, making them convenient for regional transportation.
