The Vios engine is domestically produced, manufactured by Tianjin FAW Toyota Engine Co., Ltd. The engine model of the Vios is 5NR-FE, with a maximum power of 82KW, a maximum torque of 139Nm, and a maximum horsepower of 112. For daily maintenance of the Vios engine, the following methods can be used: Use lubricating oil of appropriate quality grade. For gasoline engines, SD--SF grade gasoline engine oil should be selected based on the additional devices of the intake and exhaust systems and usage conditions. For diesel engines, CB--CD grade diesel engine oil should be selected according to mechanical load, with the selection standard not lower than the requirements specified by the manufacturer. Regularly change the oil and filter. The quality of any lubricating oil will change during use. After a certain mileage, performance deteriorates, leading to various engine problems. To avoid malfunctions, oil should be changed regularly according to usage conditions, and the oil level should be kept moderate. When oil passes through the fine pores of the filter, solid particles and viscous substances in the oil accumulate in the filter. If the filter is clogged and oil cannot pass through the filter element, the filter element may burst or the safety valve may open, allowing oil to bypass through the bypass valve and carry contaminants back to the lubrication area, accelerating engine wear and increasing internal contamination. Regularly clean the crankcase. During engine operation, high-pressure unburned gases, acids, moisture, sulfur, and nitrogen oxides from the combustion chamber enter the crankcase through the gap between the piston rings and cylinder walls, mixing with metal particles from component wear to form sludge. Small amounts remain suspended in the oil, while larger amounts precipitate, clogging filters and oil passages, making engine lubrication difficult and causing wear. Regularly use radiator cleaner to clean the radiator. Removing rust and scale not only ensures the engine operates normally but also extends the overall lifespan of the radiator and engine.

I remember when I bought the Vios, the salesperson clearly told me that the car's engine was entirely domestically produced, not imported. Toyota has factories in China, such as in Tianjin or Guangzhou, where they assemble the Vios, including the engine which is also locally manufactured. I've been using this car for several years now, and the engine feels quite reliable with low fuel consumption and smooth daily driving. As an ordinary car owner, I think localization has made maintenance much more convenient, with easier access to parts and savings on tariff costs. If it were imported, repairs might be more expensive, but now that Toyota has transferred the technology domestically, the quality is on par with foreign standards. Of course, there might be slight differences in models across regions, but overall, the domestically produced Vios engine is a mainstream choice, and it can easily last a decade without major issues.

How to Turn Off Car Lights?

Methods to turn off car lights: Simply rotate the light control knob to the OFF position. Some models use an O position for turning off; some models have a button that needs to be pressed to turn off; and some models have the control on the light stalk, requiring you to rotate the stalk to turn off the lights. The stalk-type light switch generally consists of two sections: turning the red section controls the parking lights and low beams, while turning the blue section controls the fog lights. Note that the rotation direction may vary slightly depending on the car model. Adjusting the beam direction is important because prolonged vehicle use can cause the beam direction to shift due to vibrations, which can affect safety.

What causes steering wheel vibration at high speeds?

The reason for steering wheel vibration at high speeds is: issues with the dynamic balance of the car tires or looseness, aging, or deformation in the car's steering, suspension, and transmission mechanisms. Steering wheel vibration is a common issue during daily driving, and it, along with body resonance, can make driving unsafe. A car wheel is an assembly consisting of a tire and a rim. However, due to manufacturing factors, the mass distribution of this assembly is not uniform, leading to dynamic imbalance when the wheel rotates at high speeds. This causes the driver to experience noticeable steering wheel vibration.

Why does the car keep stalling while driving?

The reasons why the car keeps stalling while driving are: 1. Use of low-quality fuel; 2. Damaged fuel pump; 3. Insufficient driving skills; 4. Faulty spark plugs or ignition coils. Solutions: 1. If the car stalls at idle, simply restart the engine; 2. If the car stalls while coasting, automatic transmission models need to shift into neutral before restarting the engine. When turning off the engine, it is advisable to delay the shutdown, which is beneficial for the engine. After achieving the purpose, do not turn off the engine and remove the key immediately. The recommended delay time is about 30 seconds. Engines with turbochargers require delayed shutdown. After parking, allow sufficient time for the engine and turbocharger to cool and lubricate before shutting down, which can protect the engine and help cool the engine and water temperature.

What Causes Low Car Antifreeze?

Low car antifreeze is caused by leakage. Damage to the radiator gasket, loose connections at the overflow tank, water pump mating surfaces, or any pipe fittings in the cooling system can lead to antifreeze leakage. It is necessary to promptly visit the nearest auto repair shop for maintenance; otherwise, the radiator will quickly run low on antifreeze. If the antifreeze level is insufficient (below the MIN mark), it will not provide adequate cooling, which can easily lead to "boiling over" during high-speed operation. The full name of antifreeze is antifreeze coolant, meaning it is a coolant with antifreeze properties. It prevents the coolant from freezing and expanding in cold winter conditions, which could crack the radiator or damage the engine cylinder block or head.

How to Repair Car Scratches?

The methods to repair car scratches are: 1. For very shallow scratches, you can use car wax for repair. Wipe in a straight line. After the scratch disappears, use a finer compound to wipe and then apply wax. Choose high-quality wax when waxing; 2. Squeeze a small amount of toothpaste onto the scratch and then wipe it slowly. Toothpaste contains very fine particles that can polish away the scratch through wiping; 3. Use a touch-up pen that matches the color of the car's paint. Shake well before use, then gently dab it onto the scratch; 4. Prepare a piece of sandpaper, first clean the scratched area thoroughly, dry it, then wet the sandpaper and sand the scratch until it is smooth. Be careful with the pressure when sanding and avoid sanding for too long.

What Does an Automobile Assembly Include?

An automobile assembly includes a number of parts, components, sub-assemblies, or accessories. The five major assemblies of a car are: 1. Engine assembly: A device that converts chemical energy into mechanical energy; 2. Steering gear assembly: A part used for the steering function of a car, ensuring driving safety; 3. Transmission assembly: A mechanism used to change the speed and torque from the engine, which can fix or change the transmission ratio between the output shaft and the input shaft in steps. The transmission consists of a transmission mechanism and a control mechanism; 4. Front and rear axles: Refers to the part of the front and rear wheel axles, including shock absorber springs, steering gear, balance shaft, drive shaft, and transmission gears, etc.; 5. Frame: The base of the car, composed of longitudinal beams and cross beams, supported on the wheels via suspension devices, front axle, and rear axle.
