Is the Vehicle Code the Same as the Vehicle Model?
1 Answers
Vehicle code is not the same as vehicle model. Chassis Number: The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is the chassis number. The engine number is referred to as EngineNo on the vehicle registration document. The engine number is stamped on the engine block, while the chassis number is stamped on the vehicle's frame. The exact location varies by manufacturer, so please refer to the vehicle's manual for details. Vehicle Identification Number: The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), also known as the chassis number, is a unique 17-character alphanumeric code assigned to each vehicle. It identifies the manufacturer, engine, chassis serial number, and other specifications of the vehicle. To avoid confusion with the numbers 1 and 0, the letters 'I', 'O', and 'Q' are not used.
