Is the Toyota Corolla Engine Imported?

Toyota Corolla's engine is not imported; it is domestically produced, but the technology is imported. The engine is assembled by Tianjin FAW Toyota Engine Co., Ltd., with technology provided by Toyota. The Toyota Corolla is a compact car with body dimensions of 4635mm in length, 1780mm in width, and 1455mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2700mm. In terms of power, the Toyota Corolla is equipped with a 1.2T 116-horsepower L4 turbocharged engine, paired with a CVT continuously variable transmission, delivering a maximum power of 85 kilowatts, a maximum torque of 185 Newton-meters, and a maximum power speed of 5600 revolutions per minute.
I've driven a Corolla for so many years and have quite a bit of research on its engine. The early domestically produced Corollas did use imported engines, but now they are almost entirely localized. FAW Toyota has specialized engine factories in Tianjin and Changchun, with production lines built to Toyota's global standards, and the production process is no less advanced than in Japan itself. The current 1.2T and 1.5L naturally aspirated engines are all domestically produced, and even the 1.8L engine for hybrid models is largely localized. I've specifically compared the parameters of imported and domestic engines, and the power output and fuel consumption are basically the same, proving that Toyota's quality control is indeed up to standard. As for imported engines, they can now basically only be found in some particularly old used cars.
