Is the Three-Way Catalytic Cleaner Effective?
1 Answers
The three-way catalytic cleaner is effective. Its function is to remove sulfur, phosphorus, and other chemical substances from the surface of the three-way catalytic converter, unclog exhaust pipe blockages, and restore the activity of the three-way catalytic converter. For more severe blockages, disassembly and cleaning are required. If the converter is damaged or severely clogged, it should be replaced directly. Since fuel contains harmful substances such as sulfur and phosphorus, combustion can form chemical complexes on the surface of the oxygen sensor and inside the three-way catalytic converter. Over time, carbon deposits will form in the oxygen sensor and three-way catalytic converter. If not cleaned promptly, it can lead to failures such as oxygen sensor and three-way catalytic converter poisoning and inefficiency, ultimately causing abnormal engine operation, reduced power, and excessive exhaust emissions. Therefore, regular cleaning of the three-way catalytic converter is necessary.
