I have been a Suzuki Vitara owner since 2016. I drove the domestically produced version made by Changan Suzuki back then, during the joint venture era. The car was assembled at the Chongqing factory with stable quality, and my car is still in use today with few faults and low fuel consumption. After 2018, Suzuki withdrew from the Chinese market, and the joint venture ended, so there have been no new domestically produced models since. If you want to buy one now, you can only look for older domestic models in the used car market or wait for import channels. I think the domestic version of the Vitara offers great value for money, especially suitable for city commuting and light off-roading, but you should carefully inspect the chassis and engine when buying a used one. By the way, parts for domestic cars are easy to find, and repairs are much cheaper.

Should You Return to Neutral When Shifting Gears?

It is not necessary to return to neutral when shifting gears. While driving, you should shift to a higher gear in a timely manner as long as road conditions and traffic permit. Here are some key points to note when shifting gears: Before upshifting: You must first accelerate to "build up speed" to ensure sufficient power for smooth driving after the shift. If the "speed buildup" is too low, it may result in insufficient power and shaking after the shift. Prolonged "speed buildup" with the engine running at high RPMs can increase wear and reduce fuel efficiency. Speed buildup: The "speed buildup" should be appropriate, and the upshift should be timely. The right moment to upshift depends on the engine sound, RPM, and power output. If pressing the accelerator after the upshift causes the engine RPM to drop and power to decrease, it indicates that the upshift was performed too early.

Can a Motorcycle Jump-Start a Car?

No, car batteries typically have a capacity of around 50AH, while motorcycles only have about 7AH. Although the voltage is the same, the instantaneous current required for car startup can reach around 200A, far exceeding the capacity of a motorcycle battery. This puts immense strain on the motorcycle battery, and after just a few attempts, the motorcycle battery may be depleted and permanently damaged. It is recommended to use another car for jump-starting instead. Below is an introduction to jump-starting: Jump-starting, also known as boosting or jump-lead starting, is a method of starting a vehicle with a depleted battery by connecting it to another vehicle's battery or an external power source. Usage limitations: Overcharging lead-acid batteries can cause water electrolysis inside the battery, producing flammable hydrogen gas.
