Is the Speedometer on a Motorcycle Accurate?
1 Answers
Motorcycle speedometers are not accurate, typically showing a discrepancy of 5-10 kilometers per hour. The faster the speed, the greater the discrepancy, with the displayed speed being higher than the actual speed. New Concept Speedometer: The most noticeable change is the replacement of the analog dial with a large LCD screen, which directly displays speed and mileage in digital form and uses bar segments to indicate fuel level and assist in representing speed. Additionally, new features have been added, such as colored backlighting, mobile phone call alerts, high-speed alarms, water temperature display, real-time clock display, and ambient temperature display. Using Hall Sensors for Speed Detection: The device emits two square wave pulses per rotation. It is proposed to replace this with a Hall sensor that emits six square wave pulses. Oil pressure reflects the fuel level, and varying oil pressure can change the resistance value of the fuel level sensor. The vehicle's power supply is particularly crucial due to harsh working conditions, and the performance of the power module is a decisive factor in the success of the entire vehicle instrumentation. The main control unit handles signal processing, algorithms, display control and effects, mileage storage in case of power loss, and factory reset tasks. These components, combined with a meticulously designed casing, create a seamless and integrated instrument panel.
