Is the Sagitar equipped with an AT transmission?

The Sagitar offers one variant with an AT transmission. In terms of transmission options for the Volkswagen Sagitar, the 1.6L model provides a choice between a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission; the 180TSI and 280TSI models are paired with a 7-speed dry dual-clutch transmission; while the 2.0TSI GLI is matched with a 6-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. Below is relevant information about automatic transmissions: 1. Introduction: The core function of an automatic transmission is to enable automatic gear shifting. Automatic gear shifting means that while the car is in motion, the driver operates the accelerator pedal as needed, and the automatic transmission can automatically shift into different gears based on engine load and the vehicle's operating conditions. 2. Classification: Depending on the working principle, there are currently four common types of automatic transmissions in vehicles: hydraulic automatic transmission, mechanical continuously variable transmission, electronically controlled mechanical automatic transmission, and dual-clutch automatic transmission.
I used to drive the older Sagitar, and back then the automatic transmission was indeed an AT, with very smooth gear shifts. However, the new models have long since changed! The 1.2T and 1.4T versions are all equipped with the DQ200 7-speed dry dual-clutch transmission, while the 1.5T version comes with the DQ381 wet dual-clutch. Volkswagen has already replaced the AT transmission with dual-clutch, mainly for higher transmission efficiency and better fuel economy. If you're looking for a Sagitar with an AT, you'll have to go for a used one, specifically the pre-2018 1.6L version, which was paired with the Aisin 6AT. If you're buying a new car now, the dealerships are all stocked with dual-clutch configurations.
