The Prado is produced by FAW Toyota. Taking the 2019 Prado as an example, it is a mid-to-large-sized SUV with body dimensions of: length 4840mm, width 1885mm, height 1890mm, wheelbase 2790mm, fuel tank capacity 87L, and curb weight 2285kg. The 2019 Prado features a double-wishbone independent front suspension and a four-link non-independent rear suspension. It is equipped with a 3.5L naturally aspirated engine delivering maximum horsepower of 280PS, maximum torque of 365Nm, and maximum power of 206kW, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

I've been in this industry for many years, and the Prado has always been a product of FAW Toyota. Since its early entry into the Chinese market, production has been handled by FAW Toyota, with their factories located in places like Changchun, specializing in manufacturing rugged SUVs like this. Some people might think GAC Toyota could be involved, but in reality, GAC only deals with urban vehicles like the Camry and Highlander—the Prado is purely from the FAW camp. I remember a few years back, FAW even halted production for a while, but now the new model is back, still their flagship vehicle. If you're looking to buy, head straight to an FAW Toyota 4S store—don't mix up the brands.

How to Deal with Foggy Side Windows on a Rainy Day?

Press the defogging button, turn on the air conditioning cooling (A/C) switch, set the temperature to the lowest, and use the external circulation to remove fog. Both cold and warm air can defog car windows, but warm air works slower than cold air. The most effective method is using cold air, which blows dry cold air directly onto the glass, preventing water vapor from condensing on the glass and achieving defogging. The method for warm air defogging is the same as cold air, but note that using warm air on rainy days may initially worsen the fog. Always use external circulation when defogging car windows. The reason for car window fogging: There is a temperature difference between the inside and outside of the car. If the temperatures differ, the surface with the lower temperature has a lower saturated vapor pressure than the surrounding environment, causing water vapor to gather on the glass surface and form tiny droplets, resulting in fog. Methods for defogging car windows: Air Conditioning Cooling: Use the air conditioning's dehumidification function to reduce air humidity and remove fog. In summer, especially when multiple people enter the car without turning on the air conditioning, the exhaled humid air can quickly cause the windshield to fog up. Turning on the air conditioning to blow cold air onto the windshield and using the dehumidification function can quickly remove the fog. If the humidity is too high and the air conditioning is ineffective, slightly opening the windows can quickly reduce the humidity inside the car. Combining both methods can yield faster results. Air Conditioning Warm Air: Use warm air to reduce the temperature difference and remove fog. In winter, blowing warm air onto the windshield quickly raises its temperature, reducing the temperature difference between the inside and outside surfaces and preventing heavy fogging. However, the rear and side windows heat up slower, so it takes longer to remove all the fog. Whether the air conditioning is automatic or manual, turning it on helps with dehumidification. Avoid setting the temperature to the coldest to prevent frost on the outside of the windshield. Applying Anti-Fog Agents: Spray a small amount of defogging agent on the car windows and wipe it clean to remove dirt and stains. This leaves a thin transparent protective film that effectively prevents water vapor from condensing on the glass, especially useful in cold winters. Alternatives to defogging agents include dish soap, soapy water, glycerin, alcohol, or salt water. After applying and letting it dry, wipe off any excess with a soft cloth to keep the windows fog-free for several days. Opening Windows for Airflow: If the fog inside the car is not too heavy, opening the side windows can create airflow between the inside and outside, reducing the temperature difference and gradually eliminating the fog. This method works on the same principle as using cold air from the air conditioning. However, it has obvious drawbacks and cannot be used during rain, snow, on highways, or when the fog is heavy. Rear Window Heating: Most cars have a rear window heating function, though the button location may vary. Turning on the rear window heating switch will clear the fog in about a minute.

What does engine boosting mean?

It means increasing horsepower and enhancing explosive power. Automotive turbocharging refers to the process where exhaust gases are not directly released into the atmosphere but instead used to drive a turbocharger, which pressurizes the intake air, thereby improving intake efficiency. More details are as follows: 1. Principle: When the engine speed increases, the exhaust gas discharge speed and turbo speed also increase simultaneously, enhancing the degree of air compression. This results in increased engine intake volume, which in turn boosts the engine's output power. 2. Impact of turbocharging on maximum power: After installing a turbocharger on an engine, its maximum power can increase by 40% or even more compared to when it was not equipped with a turbocharger.

What Causes Insufficient Engine Boost?

It may be due to a clogged air filter or intercooler, or the piping behind the turbocharger coming loose. Below is a detailed introduction about engine boost: 1. Principle: When the engine speed increases, the exhaust gas discharge speed and turbo speed also increase synchronously, thereby enhancing the air compression level. This increases the engine's air intake, which in turn boosts the engine's output power. 2. Impact of Turbocharging on Maximum Power: After installing a turbocharger, an engine's maximum power can increase by 40% or more compared to when it was not equipped with a turbocharger.

What are the disadvantages of car seat ventilation?

Seat ventilation has virtually no disadvantages. If any, prolonged use of seat ventilation can easily lead to back and waist soreness. Additionally, seat ventilation is not yet widely available, and retrofitting it involves significant labor, making it relatively expensive. More relevant information is as follows: 1. Types of seat ventilation: Seat ventilation is divided into blow-type and suction-type. The blow-type provides stronger airflow, making it cooler when turned on, but it is not suitable for prolonged use. The suction-type is relatively gentler, and prolonged use will not cause back or waist soreness. 2. Price of car seat modification: The price of car interior leather modification varies greatly. On one hand, the choice of materials can result in significant price differences. On the other hand, the amount of material used for each car also varies, making it difficult to provide an accurate price.

Why does a car shake violently shortly after entering the highway?

The reasons why a car shakes violently shortly after entering the highway: 1. Severe engine carbon deposits: The most common cause of car shaking is a dirty throttle body or excessive carbon buildup in the fuel injectors. 2. Ignition system issues: Check the working condition of spark plugs, high-voltage wires, and ignition coils. Poor performance of the ignition system or improper spark plug firing can also lead to such faults. 3. Unstable oil pressure: If you've already cleaned the engine carbon deposits, cleaned the throttle body, replaced the oil pads and spark plugs, but still notice body shaking at idle, it's recommended to visit a 4S shop to check whether the fuel supply pressure and intake pressure sensor are normal.

How to Handle a Driving License with More Than 12 Demerit Points?

If a driver's license accumulates more than 12 demerit points, the following measures should be taken: 1. If a motor vehicle driver accumulates 12 demerit points within a scoring cycle, they must report to the traffic management department of the public security authority at the place where the driver's license was issued or where the violation occurred within 15 days to undergo a seven-day education program on road traffic safety laws, regulations, and related knowledge. After completing the education, the vehicle management office should administer the subject one test within 20 days. 2. If a motor vehicle driver accumulates 12 or more demerit points twice within a scoring cycle, the vehicle management office should also administer the subject three test within 10 days after passing the subject one test.
