Is the MG6 domestically produced or a joint venture?

The MG6 is domestically produced. Its production line was modified from the original British Rover production line, and the engine is largely based on the original British Rover K-series engine, with some modifications and adjustments made domestically. The MG6 is the first mass-produced model of the 'Emotional Force' concept car MG E-Motion launched by SAIC MG, equipped with a 'Multi-Health Protection System'. In terms of body dimensions, the MG6 measures 4704mm in length, 1848mm in width, and 1466mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2715mm. It comes standard with the XDS Cornering Dynamic Control System and is powered by SAIC's NetBlue Blue Core high-efficiency powertrain technology.
I've been fascinated by automotive history since childhood. The MG brand was originally British MG Rover, but it was fully acquired by China's SAIC Motor in 2005. Today, the MG6 is a car entirely designed and manufactured by SAIC Motor in China, making it a completely domestic product. SAIC is a state-owned Chinese company with strong R&D capabilities, and its production base is located in Nanjing with fully localized components. The quality of the MG6 is quite reliable, featuring domestically developed engines and chassis. Unlike joint-venture brands such as Volkswagen or Toyota, which collaborate with foreign automakers, the MG6 is entirely homegrown from start to finish. Buying it is a great way to support domestic products. In recent years, Chinese cars have become increasingly refined, and their competitiveness rivals that of foreign brands.
