Is the Jetta VS7 a Domestic or Joint Venture Car?

Jetta VS7 is a joint venture car, a mid-size SUV under the Jetta brand. Jetta (Jetta) is a car brand produced by FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd., a joint venture of the German Volkswagen Group in China. The Jetta (Jetta-MK1) was launched in Europe in 1979. On December 5, 1991, the first domestically produced Jetta A2 was assembled and rolled off the production line at FAW-Volkswagen's car factory. It was an upgraded version based on the second-generation German Jetta A2 from 1983. On August 17, 2021, "Jetta" became the first independent brand under Volkswagen derived from a single car model. The body dimensions are 4624 mm in length, 1841 mm in width, and 1644 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2730 mm. The car is equipped with a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine across all variants, delivering a maximum power of 110 kW and a maximum torque of 250 Nm, with the maximum torque available between 1750 and 3000 rpm. The exterior features polygonal headlights integrated with the grille, using LED light sources with lens-style headlights. The daytime running lights are positioned on either side of the front bumper, while the rear of the car emphasizes horizontal lines to visually widen its appearance.
I also used to think Jetta was a purely domestic brand, but after checking the information, I found out that the Jetta VS7 is actually a joint-venture car. Although it's produced by FAW in China, its technical platform is entirely based on Volkswagen's German foundations. Core components like the EA211 engine and the Volkswagen MQB platform are shared with models like the T-Roc and Tiguan, and the production line is also shared with FAW-Volkswagen. To put it bluntly, it's essentially a Volkswagen car wearing a Jetta badge—its three major components (engine, transmission, and chassis) are far more reliable than many domestic cars, yet the price is significantly lower.
