Jetour X90 is not compliant with China 6 emission standards; it meets China 5 standards. Taking the Jetour X90 2021 1.5T Manual Shadow Joy Edition 6-seater as an example: This is a mid-size SUV equipped with a 1.5T inline four-cylinder engine featuring turbocharged intake, delivering a maximum horsepower of 156ps and a maximum torque of 230nm. The vehicle adopts front-engine, front-wheel drive configuration, with MacPherson independent front suspension and multi-link independent rear suspension. The steering assistance type is mechanical hydraulic power, the body structure is load-bearing, the parking brake type is handbrake, and the fuel type is gasoline.

The Jetour X90 I bought last year is the China 6 version. I specifically checked the conformity certificate, which states the emission standard as GB18352.6-2016. Actually, most cars after 2019 have been upgraded to China 6 due to policy requirements—new vehicles must meet the standard to be registered. Our car's China 6 standard is divided into Phase A and B, and my model, equipped with a particulate filter (China 6B), runs without any issues. I recommend verifying the emission details on the vehicle conformity certificate when buying a car—don’t just rely on the salesperson’s word. Currently, China 6-compliant cars have higher resale value, and you won’t have to worry about urban relocation restrictions for second-hand transactions.

Recently, while helping my cousin research cars, I looked into the emission parameters of the Jetour X90. All currently available models comply with the China 6 emission standard, especially the mid-cycle facelift versions after 2020, which directly meet the China 6b standard. The manufacturer has optimized engine tuning, such as improving the EGR valve and upgrading the three-way catalytic system. Pay attention to the production date—the first batch of China 6 models in 2019 might be labeled as China 6a, but those produced after 2020 are all China 6b. When registering at the DMV, refer to the environmental information listed with the vehicle.

The current Jetour X90 models all meet the China VI emission standards. Specifically, versions produced after July 2019 have been upgraded to comply with the new regulations. From personal experience, you can check the vehicle's production date on the nameplate located on the B-pillar of the passenger side, then verify the environmental information disclosure number. With stricter city registration standards now, like in our Zhengzhou where China V vehicles can't be registered, it's crucial to pay attention to this when buying a used Jetour X90—models from 2019 onwards are safer bets.
