Is the hood of the Audi Q3 made of aluminum?

Audi Q3's hood is made entirely of aluminum because the front of the Q3 is too heavy and the engine is placed in front of the front suspension. It is a typical case of being top-heavy. Hood principle: When the hood is opened, it generally flips backward, although a small portion may flip forward. A backward-flipping hood should open to a predetermined angle without touching the windshield, maintaining a minimum clearance of approximately 10 millimeters. To prevent the hood from opening on its own due to vibration while driving, the front of the hood must have a safety lock hook mechanism. The switch for this locking device is located under the dashboard in the cabin, and the hood should lock simultaneously when the doors are locked. Hood removal method: Open the hood and cover the body with a soft cloth to prevent damage to the paint; remove the windshield washer nozzle and hose from the hood; mark the hinge positions on the hood for easier reinstallation later; remove the bolts securing the hood to the hinges, taking care to prevent the hood from sliding off after the bolts are removed.
