Is the Geely Icon an Electric Vehicle?

The Geely Icon is not an electric vehicle. The Geely Icon's engine is equipped with 1.5TD and 7DCT 48V mild hybrid technology, with a maximum power of 130 kW, a maximum power speed of 5500 rpm, a maximum torque of 255 Nm, and a maximum torque speed range of 1500 to 4000 rpm. The Geely Icon is a compact 5-door, 5-seat SUV with the following dimensions: length 4350mm, width 1810mm, height 1615mm, wheelbase 2640mm, fuel tank capacity 51L, front-wheel drive, front suspension using MacPherson independent suspension, and rear suspension using multi-link independent suspension.
Yesterday I accompanied a friend to test drive the Geely Icon, which actually isn't an electric vehicle. My friend thought pure electric models would be more economical, but the salesperson explained clearly: the Geely Icon mainly features a 1.5T engine with a 48V mild hybrid system, primarily gasoline-powered. What's interesting is that BSG motor - it helps the engine save fuel during traffic jams, with actual combined fuel consumption around 6.8L. This model does offer a plug-in hybrid version that can run about 60km on pure electricity. With charging stations becoming more common, using the hybrid version as an electric car could be quite practical. For those wanting a pure electric version, I'd recommend checking out Geely's Geometry series.
