Is the Geely Borui a hybrid?
1 Answers
Geely Borui offers two powertrain options: plug-in hybrid and hybrid. Introduction to hybrid vehicles: It is a combination of fuel (gasoline, diesel) and electric energy, with an electric motor serving as an auxiliary power source to drive the car. This technology represents a complementary advantage and can be considered an integrated innovation. The main power source is the engine, supplemented by a secondary power source, the battery. These two work together to save energy. The electric motor assisting the engine can generate strong and smooth power during normal driving. Powertrain introduction: The Borui hybrid version is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5T three-cylinder turbocharged engine, an electric motor, a battery pack, and a 7-speed DCT hybrid transmission. The MHEV mild hybrid version, on the other hand, features a 48V mild hybrid system based on the three-cylinder 1.5T+7DCT configuration. The engine delivers a maximum power of 180 horsepower, while the iBSG motor provides a maximum power of 16 horsepower and a maximum torque of 50 Nm. The manufacturer claims a combined fuel consumption of 5.8L/100km for this model.
