Is the engine of the Xiali Weizhi made by Toyota?

It is not an original Toyota engine, but the Weizhi is a later model that still uses Toyota's technology. Technology of Toyota engines: When the engine shifts from low speed to high speed, the electronic computer automatically directs the oil pressure to the small turbine inside the intake camshaft drive gear. Under this pressure, the small turbine rotates a certain angle relative to the gear housing, allowing the camshaft to rotate forward or backward within a 60-degree range. This changes the timing of the intake valve opening, achieving continuous adjustment of the valve timing. Components of a Toyota engine: It consists of sensors, ECU, camshaft hydraulic control valves, controllers, and other parts.
The engine of the Xiali Weizhi is indeed related to Toyota, but it is not an original Toyota engine. I remember back then, Tianjin FAW introduced the 8A series engine technology from Toyota and then independently developed the CA4GA engine for use in the Weizhi. Although this engine is domestically produced, its technical foundation is based on Toyota's reliable and durable design. When repairing cars, I have disassembled many Weizhi engines and found that the cylinder block and valve structure are very similar to the Toyota 8A. However, the materials and manufacturing processes still adhere to domestic standards, so over time, the noise level tends to be higher than that of the original Toyota engines. Nevertheless, it is perfectly adequate for daily commuting, with relatively low fuel consumption, making it an economical and practical choice.
