Is the Encore GX a three-cylinder or four-cylinder engine?

The Encore GX does not have a four-cylinder model, only a three-cylinder. Single-acting cylinder: Only one end has a piston rod, and air is supplied from one side of the piston to generate pressure, which pushes the piston to produce thrust and extend, returning via spring or self-weight. Double-acting cylinder: Air is alternately supplied from both sides of the piston, producing force in one or two directions. Diaphragm cylinder: Uses a diaphragm instead of a piston, producing force in only one direction and resetting via spring. It has good sealing performance but a short stroke. Impact cylinder: This is a new type of component. It converts the pressure energy of compressed gas into the kinetic energy of the piston's high-speed (10–20 m/s) movement to perform work. The impact cylinder adds a middle cover with a nozzle and a drain port.
The Buick Encore GX is equipped with a 1.3L turbocharged three-cylinder engine across all trims, which I'm quite certain about. Paired with a CVT transmission, it delivers 165 horsepower and offers impressive fuel efficiency, averaging around 6-7L per 100km in city driving. However, three-cylinder engines inherently tend to vibrate slightly during startup, especially noticeable at idle when waiting at traffic lights—steering wheel may subtly tremble. The engine bay is compactly designed, saving space but requiring attention to heat dissipation; it's advisable to take breaks during long drives. With stricter environmental regulations, three-cylinder engines have become more common. For small SUVs like this, they strike a balance between power and fuel economy, making them ideal for young commuters. If you prefer a quieter cabin, adding sound insulation pads would enhance comfort.
