BYD Han has two versions: Han EV and DM. The Han EV is a pure electric vehicle equipped with BYD's newly developed lithium iron phosphate blade battery; the Han DM is a plug-in hybrid model that uses a ternary lithium battery. A pure electric vehicle refers to a vehicle that uses an on-board power source as its power, drives the wheels with an electric motor, and meets all the requirements of road traffic and safety regulations. Due to its relatively smaller environmental impact compared to traditional cars, its prospects are widely optimistic, but the current technology is still not mature. The BYD Han is a mid-to-large-sized sedan with body dimensions of 4950mm in length, 1890mm in width, and 1490mm in height.
I've always been obsessed with BYD's cars, especially the Han series. It has a pure electric version called the BYD Han EV, which is battery-powered with no gasoline engine at all. It offers a range of around 605 kilometers and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, delivering an incredibly smooth and quiet driving experience. However, the BYD Han also comes in plug-in hybrid versions, such as the Han DM-i and DM-p, which can run on fuel in addition to electric power, making them convenient for long-distance travel or areas with limited charging infrastructure. Nowadays, urban charging facilities are becoming more widespread, making the pure electric version extremely cost-effective for daily commutes, as electricity costs are significantly cheaper than fuel. But in cold weather or for long trips, the hybrid version is a safer bet. In summary, the Han series offers flexible choices—the pure electric version is truly zero-emission, ideal for users who prioritize environmental friendliness and cost savings.
