Is the Buick Excelle equipped with a three-cylinder engine?

The Buick Excelle is equipped with a three-cylinder engine. A three-cylinder engine consists of three cylinders, with three identical single cylinders arranged within a single engine block sharing a common crankshaft to output power. Its primary function is to convert chemical energy into mechanical energy, providing power for traditional fuel vehicles as well as new energy hybrid models. The Buick Excelle has a body size of 4609mm in length, 1798mm in width, and 1486mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2640mm. In terms of power, the vehicle is equipped with two drive combinations: a 1.3T dual-injection turbocharged engine paired with a 6-speed DSS intelligent dual-clutch transmission, and a 1.0T dual-injection turbocharged engine paired with a 6-speed DCG intelligent dual-clutch transmission.
I used to drive a Buick Excelle for a while, so I'm quite familiar with its engine configurations. From the 2018 to 2020 model years, this car indeed came with three-cylinder engines across the entire lineup, available in 1.0T and 1.3T displacement versions. However, I heard the market response was quite strong at that time, as many people were not very receptive to three-cylinder engines, possibly due to concerns about vibration control compared to four-cylinder ones. Starting with the 2021 model year, Buick adjusted its strategy, and now the new Excelle models on sale have all reverted to the classic 1.5L four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine. In the used car market, you can still find quite a few older three-cylinder models, but if you're buying a new car, there's no need to worry about this issue at all. The fuel consumption performance of the four-cylinder version is actually similar to that of the three-cylinder, with smoother and more linear power delivery.
