Is the Bin Yue an automatic transmission?

Bin Yue is not all automatic transmission. In addition to the dual-clutch automatic transmission, Geely Bin Yue also has manual transmission models. Bin Yue is a compact SUV under Geely, with a wheelbase of 2600 mm, and dimensions of 4330 mm in length, 1800 mm in width, and 1609 mm in height. Bin Yue is equipped with two engines: a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine and a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine. The 1.4-liter turbocharged engine delivers 141 horsepower and a maximum torque of 235 Nm, while the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine produces 177 horsepower and a maximum torque of 255 Nm.
Just went with a friend to test drive the Bin Yue a couple of days ago. This car does come with an automatic transmission version, and nowadays most mainstream models on the market are automatics. The one I drove had a 1.5T engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, and the gear shifts were incredibly smooth—no need to press the clutch even when starting at traffic lights. However, I heard that the earlier base models offered a manual transmission, but now dealerships mainly push the automatic versions. Honestly, which young person buying a car these days would still opt for a manual? In city traffic, your left foot would go numb from pressing the clutch. If you're looking for something easy and hassle-free to drive, going straight for the automatic is definitely the right choice, especially since this car is positioned as a youthful and trendy SUV.
Our shop has serviced quite a few Binyue models, and nine out of ten are automatic transmissions. The gearbox it uses is quite reliable, with the dry dual-clutch tuned much better than the older versions—you can barely feel any low-speed jerking. One customer drove 50,000 kilometers without even changing the transmission fluid, and it still runs smoothly. Although the maintenance manual suggests higher costs for automatic transmissions, the actual oil change intervals are longer than manual transmissions, so the overall expenses aren't much different. However, be cautious when driving through waterlogged areas in rainy weather, as automatic transmissions are most vulnerable to water damage.
