Is the B License Difficult to Obtain?

B License is somewhat challenging, but it can be passed with proper practice. First, you need to pay the fee at a driving school and then study the theoretical knowledge. Below are the specific requirements for applying for a B License: 1. Age: Must be at least 21 years old and under 50 years old. 2. Height: For large vehicles, the height requirement is at least 1.55 meters. 3. Residence: You must study in your place of residence (within the prefecture-level city of your household registration) and cannot study in a temporary residence. 4. Physical condition: Similar to the C1 license, including vision and color blindness. Generally, most people can meet these requirements. Corrected vision must be 5.0 (for small vehicles, it's 4.9). 5. Driver's license requirements: You can apply directly, or upgrade to a B2 license after holding any driver's license for at least one year. Additionally, there should be no full-score penalty records within the past year. 6. Violation record requirements: For A1, A2, and B1 licenses, there must be no records of fatal accidents with full or primary responsibility, no drunk driving records (alcohol concentration above 80mg), and no records of speeding over 50% or driving under the influence (alcohol concentration between 20mg and 80mg) during the current and the last three scoring cycles. B2 license is not subject to these restrictions.
Getting a Class B driver's license really depends on individual circumstances. I don't think it's particularly difficult, but it does require time to prepare. When I took the test last year, I first enrolled in a training course at a driving school, which cost around 1,000 yuan. I attended theoretical classes to learn traffic rules and vehicle knowledge. The written test included multiple-choice and true/false questions covering safe driving and maintenance of large vehicles. The road test was more skill-intensive, involving maneuvers like reverse parking and hill starts. I spent two weeks practicing driving every day to familiarize myself with the test procedures. The key is to do plenty of mock tests and hands-on practice. The instructor said the pass rate is quite high as long as you have the basics. Accumulating experience through regular driving and staying calm during the test will help you pass on the first try, but without preparation, it might be more challenging.
