Is the Audi CVT transmission with simulated 8-speed durable?

Audi CVT transmission with simulated 8-speed is durable. Multi-plate brake: The CVT achieves continuously variable speed ratios through the radius changes of two cone pulleys and a steel belt, with its core component being the transmission steel belt. The lifespan of the CVT largely depends on the service time of this steel belt. Apart from its own quality design, the belt's lifespan is also significantly influenced by individual driving habits. Torque converter: As the power input end, the flexibly connected torque converter combined with the inherently somewhat 'soft' CVT can easily result in poorer acceleration performance. To address this, Audi has replaced the power input end with a multi-plate wet clutch. Essentially, once the car starts moving, the transmission and engine are rigidly connected, which is bound to mitigate the phenomenon of sluggish acceleration.
