Subject 1 is not difficult. The exam paper for Subject 1 consists of 100 questions, including true/false questions and single-choice questions, with a full score of 100 and a passing score of 90. The exam paper is randomly selected and combined by the computer driver examination system according to the proportion specified in the "Motor Vehicle Driver's License Work Regulations". Subject 1 exam content: Basic knowledge of motor vehicles; laws, regulations, and road traffic signals; basic knowledge of safe driving and civilized driving; basic knowledge related to motor vehicle driving operations. Subject 1 exam process: Follow the arrangement of the staff and receive your driving training file in order in the waiting area; Bring and present your ID card for inspection by the supervising officer; Mobile phones must be turned off when entering the exam area; No loud noise is allowed in the exam area; Regulation textbooks are not allowed to be brought into the exam area (or placed in bags); After the exam, keep your ID card safe and submit the file to the "Submission Window" at the front of the exam area; Candidates who pass the exam will sign under the guidance of the staff at the exit and then leave the exam area; Candidates who fail the exam can leave the exam area and wait for the driving school staff to notify them of the retake time.
Last year, I was quite nervous when preparing for the Subject 1 test. The over 1,300 questions in the question bank seemed overwhelming, especially those traffic police hand signals and fine amounts—it felt like memorizing a codebook. However, after actually taking the test, it didn’t seem as scary. The key was thoroughly practicing on the 'Driving Test Treasure' app. I would do 200 questions daily during my commute, focusing on memorizing frequently missed ones like accident liability determinations. The actual test questions were simpler than the app’s simulations, and I passed comfortably with 90 points. The crucial thing is to take more mock tests—only sign up after scoring above 95 points five times in a row.
