Oil leakage is a relatively common issue with BMW engines. Engine block structure: From bottom to top, the components are the oil pan, cylinder block, cylinder head, and cylinder head cover, which are fastened together with screws. There is a rubber gasket in between that gradually ages over time. When the rubber gasket ages, oil leakage may occur. This is not a major issue and does not affect the normal operation of the vehicle. Causes of oil leakage: Not only BMW engines experience oil leakage, but many German cars also exhibit this phenomenon. This is because most German car engines have higher power outputs, leading to increased engine temperatures. Rubber components are particularly vulnerable to high temperatures, so prolonged exposure to heat can result in oil leakage in BMW engines as well.
