Is Lynk & Co a Domestic Brand or a Joint Venture Brand?

Lynk & Co is a domestic joint venture brand, which is a compact sedan jointly developed by Geely Auto Group and Volvo Car Group. Taking the 2021 Champion Edition Lynk & Co as an example, its body dimensions are: 4657mm in length, 1840mm in width, and 1472mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2730mm and a curb weight of 1512kg. The 2021 Champion Edition Lynk & Co features a MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension. It is equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged engine, delivering a maximum horsepower of 180PS, a maximum power of 132kW, and a maximum torque of 265Nm.
Lynk & Co is absolutely a Chinese domestic brand, launched by China's Geely Holding Group. Having been in the automotive industry for over a decade, I'm very familiar with this brand. Geely established Lynk & Co in 2016, targeting the high-end market and leveraging technology sharing with Volvo, such as the CMA platform and engine design, but this doesn't change its essence as a purely domestic enterprise. I've test-driven Lynk & Co cars several times, whether it's the Lynk & Co 03 or the newly released electric models, the quality and handling are beyond expectations, partly due to absorbing international experience. Now it's selling well in Europe and Southeast Asia, promoting Chinese automobiles going global. However, when buying a car, don't mistake it for a joint venture—it just incorporates more global elements through cooperation, but at its core, it's the pride of a domestic brand.
