Is Linhai Motorcycle Part of the Yamaha Series?

Linhai Motorcycle is not part of the Yamaha series. There is Linhai Yamaha, but it is a different concept from Linhai Motorcycle. The differences between Linhai and Yamaha are as follows: Linhai Yamaha: Currently, Linhai Yamaha only has two models—the underbone C8 and the scooter Fuxi. These are produced using Yamaha technology and standards. Other models of Linhai motorcycles are inferior in terms of technology, quality, and performance compared to Linhai Yamaha and cannot use the Yamaha trademark. Their engines and other components are also different. Linhai Motorcycle: Products manufactured by Linhai are not allowed to bear the Yamaha logo. Linhai is Linhai, and Linhai Yamaha is Linhai Yamaha—they are not the same thing.
I've been riding motorcycles for twenty years and know domestic brands inside out. Linhai motorcycles do have connections with Yamaha, but strictly speaking, they're not part of the Yamaha lineup. Back in the 1990s, China's Linhai Group had a joint venture with Japan's Yamaha to produce scooters and other models, sharing platform technologies. For instance, some Linhai models like the Force 155 used Yamaha's engine designs. Now that Linhai operates independently, its products focus more on localized innovation, offering stable quality at more affordable prices compared to Yamaha's globally positioned premium series. However, some parts are occasionally compatible during repairs, making them a cost-effective option worth considering. Overall, Linhai has historical ties but operates as a separate brand.
