How Long Is the Warranty for a Replaced Transmission?

The replaced transmission is covered for three years. Warranty Period: The warranty is subject to both time and mileage limits, whichever comes first. For example, if the car has been driven for 2 years but the mileage exceeds 100,000 kilometers, the warranty expires. Similarly, if the car has only been driven 10,000 kilometers but the time reaches 3 years, the warranty is still considered expired. Vehicle Warranty Period: During the vehicle warranty period, the manufacturer will provide free repairs or replacement of corresponding parts for any faults or component damages that occur under normal usage conditions as specified. However, this does not mean that any issue can be fixed "as desired" during the warranty period, nor should it be simply understood as "covering everything."

Can motorcycles be licensed?

China IV motorcycles can be licensed. China IV motorcycle standards: The China IV emission standard stipulates that from July 1, 2019, all motorcycles sold and registered must meet the China IV emission standard. From July 1, 2019, the license plate application for China III standard vehicles was stopped, and the inability to obtain a license plate also means they cannot be sold. Under the new standard, China IV motorcycles have further improved the durability requirements for emission control to ensure that future motorcycles are cleaner and more environmentally friendly. Motorcycle annual inspection: Motorcycles registered within 6 years are exempt from the inspection line, and motorcycle inspections can be conducted nationwide. Additionally, motorcycles exempt from inspection within 6 years are also exempt from environmental inspections. For applicants processing inspections in provinces (regions, cities) other than the motorcycle's registration location, the review of cross-region inspection authorization letters is no longer required. For those who have previously processed authorization letters but have not yet undergone inspection, the new regulations will apply, and no further review or retention will be required.

Will You Be Fined for Using High Beams While Driving in the City?

Generally, using high beams while driving in the city will result in a fine and a deduction of 1 point. Below are the reasons why you should avoid using high beams in urban areas and the relevant regulations: Reasons to Avoid High Beams in the City: It is best not to use high beams when driving in the city because urban areas usually have good lighting conditions. High beams are angled too high, which can easily dazzle oncoming drivers and pedestrians, impairing their vision and creating unsafe conditions. It is also considered impolite driving behavior. Relevant Regulations: The "Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China" clearly stipulates the use of lights during nighttime driving. When meeting another vehicle on a road without a central divider or centerline, high beams must not be used within 150 meters of the oncoming vehicle. Additionally, high beams must not be used when driving at night on roads without streetlights, under poor lighting conditions, or in low-visibility situations such as fog, rain, snow, or dust, or when a following vehicle is driving close to the vehicle ahead in the same direction.

Can You Get Carbon Monoxide Poisoning from Running the AC in Traffic?

Running the AC in traffic can easily lead to carbon monoxide poisoning. Consequences of idling: Prolonged idling of the engine can easily cause carbon buildup in the engine. Over time, this may result in black smoke emissions and increased fuel consumption. If the engine idles for an extended period, the carbon monoxide it produces can accumulate and enter the vehicle, leading to carbon monoxide poisoning for the occupants. Precautions when using the AC: Therefore, maintenance professionals suggest that if you're waiting for someone for less than 5 minutes, you can stay in the car. However, if the wait exceeds 5 minutes, it's better to drive to an underground parking lot or a shaded area, turn off the engine, and step out of the vehicle. During midday hours, some drivers may feel drowsy and choose to rest in the car with the AC running—this is highly dangerous. Every summer and winter in China, multiple cases of carbon monoxide poisoning or suffocation deaths occur in vehicles with the AC on.
