Is Jerking in a 6AT Transmission Normal?
1 Answers
6AT transmission jerking is not normal. The causes of transmission jerking are: excessively high transmission oil temperature, stubborn dirt and impurities inside the transmission forming blockages in the valve body, hindering the smooth movement of solenoid valves and preventing orderly regulation of oil pressure, leading to jerking, impact, and slippage faults. The jerking sensation in the transmission is caused by the inertia of moving parts inside the engine, and transmission jerking can be attributed to poor shifting quality and faults. The functions of the transmission are: 1. To change the transmission ratio to meet the traction needs under different driving conditions, allowing the engine to operate under favorable conditions; 2. To enable the vehicle to reverse; 3. To interrupt power transmission when the engine starts and idles, during gear shifts or parking, cutting off power to the drive wheels; 4. To achieve neutral gear, stopping power output from the transmission when the clutch is engaged.
