Is it permissible not to affix the annual inspection sticker and insurance sticker on vehicles?

Automobile insurance and annual inspection stickers are no longer required to be displayed. Currently, vehicle annual inspection labels have been digitized, eliminating the need for physical stickers on the car. Starting from June 2020, China has implemented electronic annual inspection labels nationwide. When vehicle owners now undergo annual inspections, they will no longer receive paper inspection labels upon passing. Instead, owners can directly obtain electronic inspection labels through the traffic management app. Here are important considerations: Accident Liability: For vehicles that fail to undergo annual inspections on time, the involved party will bear full or primary responsibility for any resulting traffic accidents, and the insurance company will not assume any liability. This is because the insurance policy specifies exclusions, including vehicles with expired inspections. Mandatory Scrapping: According to the 'Regulations on the Compulsory Scrapping Standards for Motor Vehicles,' if a motor vehicle fails to obtain a valid inspection certificate for three consecutive inspection cycles after the expiration of its inspection validity period, it will be subject to mandatory scrapping.
