Is it okay to continue driving with a faulty wheel speed sensor?

There are issues. Once the wheel speed sensor is damaged, it not only causes certain deviations in the speed display on the dashboard but also leads to unstable engine idling and reduced acceleration performance. Secondly, when the vehicle starts or slows down to stop while driving, it is prone to momentary stalling, which may directly cause the engine to shut off, significantly affecting driving safety to some extent. Classification of wheel speed sensors: 1. Magnetic wheel speed sensor: Designed based on the principle of electromagnetic induction, it features a simple structure, low cost, and resistance to mud and dirt, making it widely used in modern car ABS anti-lock braking systems. 2. Hall-effect wheel speed sensor: Made using the Hall effect principle, the Hall-effect wheel speed sensor has also found extensive applications in automobiles. It is characterized by output signal voltage amplitude unaffected by rotational speed, high frequency response, and strong resistance to electromagnetic interference.
