Is It No Longer Necessary to Display the Insurance Sticker on Vehicles?

After the official launch of electronic insurance policies, it is no longer required to display physical insurance stickers on vehicles. This initiative achieves full coverage across the insurance industry and traffic police enforcement scenarios, promoting an eco-friendly, low-carbon car lifestyle and the concept of green travel. Here are more regulations regarding compulsory insurance stickers: 1. Currently, there is no nationwide regulation in China specifying whether vehicles must display compulsory traffic insurance stickers. The policy of no longer requiring compulsory insurance stickers has not been universally implemented. At present, only certain regions have exempted vehicles from displaying compulsory insurance stickers, while many areas still enforce the original regulations, mandating that compulsory insurance stickers be affixed to the vehicle's front windshield. 2. If the local region has implemented a policy exempting vehicles from displaying compulsory insurance stickers, then vehicle owners are no longer required to affix them to the front windshield. However, if such a regulation has not been introduced, vehicle owners must still display the compulsory insurance sticker. Failure to do so may result in penalties if caught by traffic police during roadside checks.
