It is not necessary to use a steering wheel cover for the following reasons: 1. It can cause irreparable damage to a genuine leather steering wheel; 2. It may lead to an inability to firmly grip the steering wheel or cause slipping while driving. The steering wheel is a wheel-shaped device used to control the direction of travel, and its function is to convert the force applied by the driver to the edge of the steering wheel into torque, which is then transmitted to the steering shaft. The correct way to use the steering wheel is: 1. Place both hands symmetrically on both sides of the steering wheel, at approximately the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock positions; 2. Rest the thumbs naturally on the inner rim of the steering wheel. The functions of the steering wheel include: audio control, cruise control, and instrument data switching.

My opinion is that steering wheel covers are best avoided. Why do I say this? I'm the type of driver who is extremely cautious—safety comes first. The original steering wheel design is already anti-slip and ergonomically shaped to fit your hands. Adding a cover might cause slipping, especially during turns or emergency braking when you could lose control, increasing accident risks. I've seen a friend get into trouble after using a cheap cover—it came loose and fell off during driving, which was terrifying. Original steering wheels are generally wear-resistant and stain-resistant, whereas covers wear out faster, wasting money and creating hassle. If you really want to improve grip, it's better to replace the steering wheel with one that has an anti-slip design. My personal advice is to prioritize original factory configurations—they're much safer and more reliable.

Can an Automatic Transmission Coast in D Gear?

An automatic transmission can coast in D gear. D gear is a common gear in automatic transmission vehicles, designed to automatically select the appropriate gear when the car is moving forward. However, an automatic transmission should not coast in neutral for the following reasons: 1. The oil pressure output by the engine at idle is low, which can lead to poor lubrication and severe wear of components. 2. Excessive heat can cause the oil to carbonize and form sludge, clogging oil passages and resulting in insufficient oil supply and poor lubrication after normal operation. The gears of an automatic transmission are as follows: 1. P is the parking gear; 2. R is the reverse gear; 3. N is the neutral gear; 4. D is the drive gear; 5. S is the sport mode; 6. L is the low gear.

Is Vehicle Maintenance Mandatory at the 4S Store Where the Car Was Purchased?

Vehicle maintenance is not mandatory at the 4S store where the car was purchased; you can choose an auto repair shop instead. Below are specific details about vehicle maintenance: 1. Maintenance Content: Vehicle maintenance primarily includes servicing the engine system, transmission system, air conditioning system, etc. 2. Purpose of Maintenance: The goal is to keep the car clean, ensure normal technical conditions, eliminate potential hazards, prevent faults, and extend the service life. 3. Maintenance Taboos: Avoid running the engine for extended periods in an unventilated garage. Engine exhaust contains carbon monoxide, an invisible and odorless toxic gas. Prolonged exposure to low concentrations of carbon monoxide can cause headaches, rapid breathing, nausea, vomiting, weakness, dizziness, mental confusion, and even brain damage.

Which engine oil produces less noise?

Shell and AMSOIL engine oils produce relatively less noise. The functions of engine oil are: 1. Reducing friction and high temperatures; 2. Cooling and temperature reduction; 3. Cleaning and purifying; 4. Shock absorption and cushioning; 5. Rust and corrosion prevention. Engine oil, also known as motor lubricant, is composed of base oil and additives. The base oil is the main component of lubricating oil, determining its fundamental properties, while additives compensate for and improve any deficiencies in the base oil's performance. The reasons for insufficient oil pressure include: 1. Lack of engine oil; 2. Clogged oil pump filter screen; 3. Pressure relief valve malfunction; 4. Clogged oil filter; 5. Blockage or cracking in the engine cylinder head or cylinder block; 6. Excessive clearance in the engine crankshaft, camshaft, or connecting rod main bearings.
