Whether to apply undercoating for a new car depends on the owner's needs. If you frequently drive on special road conditions, it is recommended to install it. Undercoating is a high-tech adhesive rubber asphalt coating that can be sprayed on parts of the car such as the chassis, fuel tank, and underbody panels. These parts, when exposed to the air, are prone to damage. Undercoating quickly forms an elastic protective layer, providing excellent protection for the car's chassis. Additionally, undercoating can insulate heat and save fuel. During summer, when ground temperatures are high, the interior of the car can become excessively hot while driving. Applying undercoating can block some of the heat, preventing discomfort caused by high surface temperatures. Undercoating also reduces heat transfer, shortening cooling time, thereby achieving fuel efficiency.

The first thing I did after buying my new car was to apply an undercoating. My previous car didn't have it, and the chassis became rusty, especially since it rains a lot here and the roads are bumpy. The sound of stones hitting the chassis was heartbreaking. After applying the undercoating, not only does it prevent rust and corrosion, but it also cushions impacts and reduces noise. I recommend applying it when the car's undercarriage is still clean for better results at a reasonable price. I spent 500 yuan on water-based materials that are environmentally friendly and harmless. Now, I can regularly drive by the seaside without any worries.

Whether to apply undercoating for a new car depends on your driving environment. If you frequently drive on suburban or mountainous roads with lots of gravel, it's worth spraying to protect the chassis from rust and extend its lifespan. If you only drive on smooth urban roads, it might not be necessary. After evaluating, I chose to have it done for over 600 yuan, which I consider cost-effective as it saves on future repair costs. Doing it during the new car phase is more convenient.

Is Wheel Balancing Necessary for Tires?

Wheel balancing is indeed necessary for tires. Generally, it is required whenever the tire system has been replaced or repaired. Over time, the loss of balancing weights can cause an imbalance in the tire's weight distribution. Any operation that alters the mass distribution of the wheel requires wheel balancing. Wheel balancing involves dynamically correcting the balance of the wheel by adding weights, ensuring the wheel remains balanced during rotation. The steps for performing wheel balancing are: 1. Remove the existing balancing weights before starting the process; 2. Use a specialized wheel balancer to measure the weight distribution of the wheel; 3. Add appropriately weighted balancing weights at the corresponding positions.
