Annual inspection stickers must be displayed, specifically in the upper right corner of the front windshield. Failure to display the vehicle's annual inspection sticker may result in penalties, and in severe cases, the vehicle may be impounded. Vehicle owners can apply for and receive the inspection compliance sticker at the vehicle management office up to three months before the expiration of the current inspection period. The vehicle management department is required to verify the vehicle, review the submitted documents, and issue the inspection compliance sticker within one day of accepting the application. If a motor vehicle driven on the road does not display the license plate, the inspection compliance sticker, or the insurance sticker, or if the driver fails to carry the vehicle registration certificate or driver's license, the traffic management authorities of the public security department must impound the vehicle and require the owner to provide the corresponding documents, stickers, or complete the necessary procedures.
